i would like to say a few words for the poor little JRT i saw injured yesterday and then went on to die, it had no id chip or collar so its owner may not even know of his fate

you came along just minding you own
you may of been hungry just looking for a bone
you were then jumped by staffie all teeth
you didnt have a chance,we did try to help
but now i feel so saddened i should of tried harder
no more pain now boy now you are free
may you find peace at randow bridge

Hi 'ilovemygirls' i have a SBT and a JRT in the same house and they get on really well together. but i dont like letting my staffie off her lead purely because of peoples reactions. we were in our local park a few weeks ago with our kids and she was off her lead, she went over to another dog, sniffed him, i went and got her, and the man had a right go at me saying if i couldn't control her i shouldn't let her off, she didn't even do any thing!!! he also said ' i wouldn't like to see her fight' as if i would have a dog like that with 3 kids.

the trouble is staffies have become a fasion statement for some people.

I love all animals dearly and I think all should be given a fair chance but the way this "sounds" the dog who attacked should be PTS before it goes on to do anymore damadge.

It breaks my heart to read this. I agree with sharonb, something needs to be done with the staffie. I really do feel for you having seen what you have seen.
