HAS ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS HOW I CAN STOP MY 17 MONTH ROTTIE FROM DESTROYING HER BED?. EVERY TIME I BUY HER A NEW BED AS SOON AS MY BACKS TURNED ITS RIPPED TO SHREDS. I THOUGHT AS SHE GOT OLDER AND OUT OF THE PUPPY STAGE SHE WOULD STOP BUT HOW WRONG WAS I. THE LAST TIME SHE DESTROYED HER BED I DIDDENT GET HER A NEW ONE FOR ABOUT A MONTH I THOUGHT SHE MIGHT APPRECIATE IT BY THE TIME I GOT HER ANOTHER BUT I WAS WRONG AGAIN BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT LASTED LONGER THAN THE REST ABOUT 24HOURS LONGER THAT IS. IF ANYBODYS GOT ANY GOOD TIPS FOR THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW THANKS.

Hi Joanne, I have the same problem with my 14 month old Sheltie. I have put it away and only get it out when I have turned the lights out. He now (only in the last week) has got straight into it and gone to sleep. He knows that when the light goes out it is bedtime. At the moment I can't really offer more than that. I know how expensive decent beds are as well!! All the best. I'll keep an eye on any responses for tips for us also.

my bullmastiffs have never ever gotten past chucking the bedding out. I dont know anyone that has sorted that one out .I even nailed mats to a pallet and put them in their houses , lasted two days and then they ripped them off and chucked them out as well. so I bought the extra large plastic beds and they are happy enough with those. I have a heat lamp over each bed . now and thenI pop an old bath towel or sheet in to see if they have stopped no way . So I wish you luck . mari
