To Elsa, the missing greyhound my son found on Cannock Chase. I did not ever know you, but I feel so sad by your death. No-one knows what you went through in your last weeks of life. Let's hope you are now at Rainbow Bridge and meeting up with lots of new friends. With Love from Sue & Sasha xx

No dog deserves to end their life like this. Poor little love its a shame nobody found her sooner and took her in and gave her the home she deserved. I took in a greyhound that has passed its sellby date and she was an absolute delight to have around. My Gyp will show you the way Elsa, you wont be alone. I'll mention you to her in my prayers tonight. Sleep well sweetheartxx

I find it terribly sad that the owners haven't arranged for someone to collect her remains - not even passing the buck to their vet. I can't believe they're content to let her lie there and rot. I sincerely hope they never get another pet of any description because they're too callous IMO.

Just to let you all know, a very kind and caring Forest Ranger has now buried Elsa at the spot where she was found.
Not the same as being taken "Home", but at least she is out of exposure.
I walked up there today and the sun was shining on her, the birds were singing and even a cuckoo was cuckoo-ing.
A lonely but peaceful place, I will take her some flowers tomorrow. God Bless her.

Such a sad story.
When you take the flowers, Sue, please say goodbye from us all at ChampDogs.
