I have a 14 month old Spanish water dog who rather move on her two back legs than on all fours. Does anybody have any idea on how I can stop her. Also she is a very fast mover and I can't keep up with her, if anyone saw us at Blackpool they'll know what I mean.

Help please!!

Hi Diane.

I know that this may sound a little strange but have you tried running backwards ?
Start out as you would normally run , then as you settle into your stride , reverse it. It may take a couple of attempts as it is not that easy to run backwards, but you will get there in the end. :-) Eventually, the dog will pay more attention to you and not have time to think about jumping up or running on as it will be expecting you to change direction.

This also works for dogs who pull on the lead.

Thanks Leigh, I'll definitely try.
