Hi folks,

I have just got a 4 month old Sheltie to accompany my 14 month old dog. Whilst grooming him today I have foung he has quite a lot of dandruff type stuff on him. Just wondered what was the best form of treatment.

Ask the vet time. It could be anything as harmless as the kind of dandruff they get when stressed, or something that really needs treatment, and is catching. Microscope job, probably.

Agree, ask the vet first. Is he moulting - mine often have dry flaky skin around this time for some reason and I rub oil into their coats but this might make a bit of a mess of a sheltie.
