Previous Next Up Topic Other Boards / Feedback / following a thread

Am I the only one who finds it difficult to follow a thread when new posts are added in between the older ones. Why cant new posts be put added on to the end of a topic so that one doesn't have to scroll back to find new posts and check the dates and times to get it all in context. It also distorts the responses. If reponding to a particular poster then this can be made clear in the post.

I haven't been here long and I have made the mistake of pressing reply to the first post.  I now know that you press reply to the last one and this keeps everything ticking along tickety boo.

Always respond to the post you are replying to. If you start answering posts listed halfway up by adding your answers at the bottom, then no one will know who or what you are talking about.  If the thread has become to small, then it is normal to reply to the first post in the thread to open it back up again.

Admin,
The poster can make it clear to who or what point they are responding to in their post cant they?

They will be that way if you go and click on Active Topics and then go along from each topic where it shows number of posts and click the new button, then they are all in time order rather than in the order of the post they are replying to.  If I am unsure who the reply is addressed to I click on the heading and that shows me where it was placed, but otherwise they are chronoligical which I find easiest.
