We have had Labradors for over twenty years and have never had a problem before with a noisy one but our two new puppies 9weeks are here now and one of them the Male is awake at the crack of dawn making a wonderful din,the other just sits looking at him as if to say shut up. any suggestions would be gratefully received

Hi. Has the room they sleep in got curtains? If not get some up that keep out the light. If he's being woken by postman/milkman then you're just going to put up with it sadly. I've never been able to keep puppies quiet after 7 am!! They want their brekky. Perhaps you could compromise and get up a bit earlier. DONT go down to them until you are ready, there is no point at all in going down to try and quieten him, he will have got what he wanted - you. Give their last meal at night as late as possible, and maybe leave food down for them. Only other suggestion is to get some ear plugs - they do help!! Good luck.

Thankyou for the replies I'll certainly try your suggestions
ear plugs sound ok I wonder what the neighbours will think of wearing them though lol .
I'm sure things will settle soon, well I hope so,also the hot weather is having an effect on them.
