I just had to post and say the happy news, I have my baby puppy! She is now 8 weeks and 4 days old and really does look like a teddy bear. (she is a Belgian Tervueren). Gorgeous red colour and into everything at the moment - oh the joys of puppyhood and dog-ownership! <G>

I was asking onthe board abu twhich pup to choose, well we did get the little red pu in the end; I say little, she was almost the biggest. I am startingt crate train her atthe moment which will mean that I eventaully will be able to go out for a couple of hours when she's a bit older. Anyway, I could go on fo rhours, but I dont want to bore anyone, just had to giv emy news!!!!! :-)

Hi Lindsay, After the pleasant wait and the looking forwards to the happy event it’s back down to earth with lost sleep, clearing up mess and standing around outside in the pouring rain! Why do we do it?????? O/K I know why! But I still think we're mad!

Best wishes, John

I know what you mean. Every time I look at "The Flower" I start smilling and that's been going on for over 3 years now! I can't imagine life without a dog!

Have fun, John

Hi Lindsay - she sounds wonderful. A new dog/pup does make the sun shine again after losing a dog.....even with all Rhum's problems, I just can't imagine life without him around. Keep us posted with all your tails (tales!!!).

Good luck and best wishes.

Hi Shirley

Thanks for posting your best wishes, the sun is indeed shining again. Most of the people on this board know what that's like I expect...I will keep you posted about Banya, if you keep us updated about your Rhum.! <G>

How is he anyway?

Best wishes

Hello Lindsay

Just wanted to say good news that you got your pup, and that it's the one you had your eye on all along . . . so you'll never have to wonder what happened to her, because you know!

I really do hope that all goes well, and that she lives up to all your expectations. I'm sure she will. And I'm sure that you'll do a fabulous job with her - the lucky girl.

Just think, eventually you'll be able to have a full night's sleep, not have to clean the kitchen floor every hour, and find something that hasn't been chewed. Not sure when that'll be, though!

All the best.

Hi Merlin

LOL the joys of puppy ownership, youknow it well <BG>

Many thanks for the good wishes, as you have realised I am indeed very glad that I got the little red pup (well, not so little...) and i'm looking forward to the next 15 or so years hopefully.

Best wishes to you and your canine friends Merlin
