I am looking for help - does anyone got to puppy classes in this area ?? I am sorted for ringcraft (at New Leake) At this stage I just really want basic puppy classes - more for socialisation and very basic good manners etc. I'll do "obedience" when she is a bit older.
There are quite a few classes in the area and I was hoping to get personal recommendation from someone on here. I have heard there is a good one in Horncastle for babies but I can't find details anywhere !!
Sara
Small world, I go to New Leake too. The only puppy classes I know of is one at Spalding and another near to Newark. Whats the breed and I'll make myself known to you, I have a noisy Elkhound. Jackie H
I see its Goldens should not be to difficult to sort you out. JH

Change of plan :D Ringcraft going ahead as planned but I have been given a contact for some puppy only classes at Leverton near Boston. I have spoken to the woman who sounds really nice and we start there next friday night. Pups allowed till they are 20 weeks. I am going to go there until then and then talk to Amberhill ( I understand the woman also works at Amberhill so you may know her Melody (Sarah) but I'll check this out with her when I go next week)
Thanks for your help both of you - funny really as we don't live what I'd call close particularly and yet you two have come up trumps for me.
Melody - am I right in thinking that Amberhill no longer do the ringcraft - that's what I'd heard ??

And didn't you do well with your inexperienced boy!! Winning 4 firsts!!! :D
I was chuffed to bits with my bald Kizi (we are talking no coat, as has only just finished chucking it all out) only being beaten by the BIS winner in Limit, and on being called back into the challenge to find that he was seriously looking at her!!! (Gave RCC to Open winner in the end).
Ch daughter did well with a third in Open bitch (as for Norwegian judge would be a bit on big side, 51cm rather than ideal 49cm), with 13 present.

Well done to both of you and your dogs :D
Sounds like you both had a good day !!
Sara
Thanks SaraW - Can't speak for Barbara but yes I was very pleased, my boy only beaten by the Dog CC winner - and the Norwegian Judge SHOULD know what he is looking at. Barbara had a good day too, not just her own hound, but hounds of her breeding. The judging was interesting and quite different to what we are used to with British judges - but his final line up was lovely to look at. I also enjoyed the Stud dog & Brood bitch classes, a wonderfull site to see a ring full (and I do mean full) of top class hounds, wish the classes were included at more shows. Jackie H
My bitch was chucked out in both her classes and she is best part Norwegian - Hay Ho
