Not a very nice topic I know and appologise for bringing it up but we have an eight week old westie puppy who is healthy and active. In the week we have had her, she has been eating the same food as she was on when we had her and up until now, her poo has been "normal". I took her to the vets on Monday to have her checked over and he gave her her first injection and we also had worming powder to give her over three days. This was finished on Wednesday. Should we be concerned that this could be a sign of something wrong or could it be a combination of everthing that has gone on over the last few days?

Worming can often make pups loose, as can the Vaccsination (though this could be stress reaction).

give her a little time to settle,also a tip,I always keep Kaoline/morphine from the chemists in its definitly handy for runny poo if its just an upset tummy,but in this case I feel its just change of routine/home if your worried at all ask the vet.
Also hope you have the puppy insured

Going to sort out insurance first thing Monday morning. We couldnt do it before as no one would insure her until she was eight weeks old (today) Do you recommend any companies? Have looked in to Pet Plan, More Than and Tesco's own. More than looks almost identical to Pet Plan but is at least £5 month cheaper, will continue paying out for treatment, even if it lasts longer than 12 months and you only have to pay £40 per claim or 15% which ever is greater. Any suggestions?

Have you asked the breeder? The lady who I'm having my dog off recommends DBI and I can't remember the reasons now but apparently she can offer it out even cheaper than she can get it herself- sorry I can't give anymore info on this because I don't really know that much- we're going to talk about it more when I go to pick the pup up.

Im with Saga ( old codgers lol) and its on just over £7.00 a month excess is only £35 and they are VERY good.
But you need to check its cover for life otherwise they will cover an illness this year and not next.
