TH had her second season mid-end Jan. Today she has started oozing milk from her teats.

All our previous bitches we've had spayed before now and I have no idea why she would suddenly start producing milk today. Please could someone set my mind at rest.

Sounds like a false pregnancy to me!
It can clear up of it's own accord, personally though I'd go visit the vet and they can prescribe meds to dry up the milk. You'll often find that once a bitch has had one false pregnancy, it won't be the last!

I wondered that. But then thought it was a bit late for that? confused

It will be her last anyway, coz I'm going to get her spayed. She is showing no other signs, except the oozing milk.

Too bad you can't get together with Signer's friend & put the false pregnancy to good use nursing the 8 day old pup. confused Just one of those odd coincidences, I guess. cool

My thought exactly - is there a chance you could get this bitch and the puppy together?

Not really, it can often take up to 3 months for a bitches hormones to settle back down after her heat....one of the reasons you should wait 3 months either side of a heat to spay....Good idea though if you know any orphan puppies! :-)
