We had to send our new Computer to be repaired as it crashed and subsiquent repair disc lost all of my e.mail contacts. Now we were with Freeserve, but using our old computer we could not for some reason load Freeserve as our ISP - so we are using Virgin(which is fine) my question is - when our Computer is returned and we re load the Freeserve disc to use as our ISP will the e.mails that have been sent since we have been not using it be able to be retrieved??
Does that make any senseconfused

I am not and I repeat NOT an expert in any way , shape size or form , but ..you should be able to get your emails now (I think) you just have to use your log in and password on Outlook Express and direct it to the pop server (and I think possibly smtp server)for your mail.

Hopefully ..someone with more expertise will be along soon to tell you how to do this in detail..but I think that , in theory , you can get your mail wherever you are and whatever PC you or ISP you are using...

Failing that ..then the mail should be held until you are able to get Freeserve again

E-mails you have not retrieved are held on a server. When you fire-up Outlook/Express it takes them from the server and puts them on your hard drive. So - basically - you have lost all the stuff you had before - unless they have managed to do a repair job. All your others will be awaiting your call:-)

If you prefer using Virgin you can set outlook/express to retrieve your Freeserve e-mails without having to load the Freeserve disc(or you ciould unless Freeserve have done something really mean - lol)
