I am rehoming an older dog soon,the current owner has all the pedigree paperwork ready to pass on to us,How do i go about transferring the ownership,do i need to order a form from the k.c or am i right in thinking there is a section on the dogs pedigree paperwork that i get the current owner to sign and date,fill in all details ready for me to send off to the k.c(before we bring her home).They are quite a distance from us(we have met and spent a considerable amount of time building a rapport via email and telephone) and so i wanted to make sure everything was in order beforehand so we dont have any difficulties afterwards with regards to the paperwork.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreiciated.

Yes there is a section on the registration documents for the owner to complete which you then send to the KC with a fee to transfer the ownership.  Not sure what the fee is at present but the KC web site should have that information.

Transfer of ownership costs £10.00. make sure the owner of the dog signs the back of the pedigree form.

Not the pedigree form the registration form!!  Ensure that it is KC registration paperwork too.
