Hi all, Is it normal for a dog not wanting to go out for walks? I have a Chihuahua and sometimes she doesn't want to go out and runs off and hides when we get her lead out. I have just been putting it down to the bad weather as she is only tiny - but does anyone else have the same problem? I don't intend on forcing her to go out just wanted to make sure its normal! She is quite happy staying in though, she does go out a lot but sometimes its like she's not in the mood. Please advise! Thankyou in advance.

It may be that's she's actually found it's a good way of getting your attention if you follow her and pay her attention when she does it.  Try ignoring it, putting the lead away if she runs off.....
