can anybody please recommend a muzzle for a boxer.  My sister has a boxer bitch who is really nasty with strangers and the vet.  The vet has to muzzle her but the muzzle doesn't fit properly and goes in her eyes and doesn't fasten quite right.  my sister has tried several but nothing fits properly.  Will say the dog is great with everyone she knows and is fab with my 3 year old niece.  Just protective of her mum, home and just hates vets.

Hi do you only need a muzzle for the vets..if so i suggest you ask at the vets to tie the dogs mouth up with lint...i had a old  boxer that hated a vet at my practice and what they did was...covered his eyes whilst a vet nurse tied his mouth although i have to admit i had to leave the consultation room has he was very protective towards me and it did take three people to do this...but once done you could do anything with him and it saved me from having to sedate him every time a trip to the vets was needed...but i didnt have a problem with him outside or with any visitors he just had a fear of the vets...
