A friend of mine (who does not have access to the internet) has agreed to take a Labrador bitch ex working dog who had pups 6 Months ago, When approx would she be back in season? She wants to get the bitch spayed but I thought you had to wait until after her season or is that an old wives tale?

She could come into season anytime now or in another couple of months, in any event I would have thought it wise to wait until after her next season.

I have been told that the vet likes to do it 3 months before or 3 months after a season, to cut down on the risk of bleeding (can't spell the proper word) lol.
