Previous Next Up Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Exemption Shows - age limits??
By issysmum [gb] Date 04.05.02 08:28 GMT
I'm hoping to go to an Exemption Show on Monday but I'm worried that Holly is only 5mths old. Can I still enter her in any of the pedigree classes or the Novelty Classes or will I have to just watch??

Do I need to walk her around in a 'proper show fashion' for the Novelty classes or will they just stand and look at the dogs??

Thanks,

Fiona

Specific Show Regulations for Exemption Dog Shows:

KC Reg F(3)5d :

Only dogs of 6 calendar months of age and over on the day of the show are eligible for entry.

No one normally questions whether a dog is old enough other than the judge in the pedigree classes. The fun classes are not usually walked.
I know that underage dogs have been exhibited at these shows and won prizes.
