I am inquiring on behalf of a friend who has a litter due and has the dew claws removed, She used to have a chap come to the house but he has since dies and her vet no longer carries out this procedure and she does not want to take the pups in the car to another vet

My vet taught me how to do it myself if I wanted to, but if your friend doesn't know then I wouldn't recommend she try! I assume she's phoned around all the other local vets to see if there's one who'll come out?

if you can find another experienced breeder localy they might be willing to do the pups,are they pedigree pups ? if so why not contact the breed club they should be able to help with finding someone near you
