We have an 8 month old Parson Russel Terrier called Shay. We are looking for a stud dog for her 2nd season (She has just finished her first).
She is of sound temprement. She is fantastic with people, dogs and other animals.
She is an active little dog who is very well socialised and is training to compete in flyball along with our other dogs.
She has no known health problems and is always up to date with vaccinations, worming tx and flea tx. (Nobivac, Frontline combo and drontal) and has had numerous health checks with me being a qualified veterinary nurse.
A copy of her pedirgree (5 generation pedigree) and photo's are available on request.
We live in East Yorkshire but are happy to travel for the right stud.

Whats her hip score and are eye's clear?

I'm not sure that Parsons would be routinely hip scored. 
Guest you should contact The Parson Jack Russel Terrier Club (Sec. Mrs R M Hussey Wilford. Tel No: 01905 821440 ) to find out what testing they are recommendingbefore dogs are considered for mating and minimum age for breeding.  General health checks are not enough to screen for possible genetic problems that the modern purchasers is looking to avoid.  If all health checks are passed successfully you then need to establish whether you bitch is of good enough quality to contribute to the gene pool.  Ideally you would establish this by showing and achieving good results under a variety of judges if you do not wish to do this at the very least you need to have her assessed by someone very experienced in the breed this may be her breeder or if you feel she was just a 'pet' breeder if you ask the club secretary they may be able to put you in touch with someone willing to assess her for you.  You will then need to seek advise on the most appropriate mate for her, again this would be from her breeder, if appropriate, if not the person the club has put you in touch with could look at her pedigree and help you decide what would be appropriate.  It may well turn out that she does not fit the bill in which case I think you must accept a litter is not to be as if you love this breed you will recognise the need to maintain standards for others to enjoy their typical and healthy puppy as you have.

She will still be too young on her next season.  With msot breeds two is considered the youngest age for breeding, and maybe 18 months at least for small breeds.  there really is no hurry to breed from her.

I msugest you use the time to reserch the breed and ner bloodlines and that of available stud dogs over the next year or so.

Join the breed club, ask to purchase breed club journals for at least the last 10 years.  Find out what breed specific tests she should have to avoid hereditary disease. 

Hip Scoring and Eye testing is adviseable for most breeds. 

Many of the terrier breeds are prone to slipping Pattellas so this shoudl be checked for too.

I'm not sure that many small breeds would be considered too young at 18 months.  Of the two clubs I belong to both say at least second season, Dandie Dinmonts from 16 months and the Cocker Spaniel from 12 months and both these breeds are larger than the Parson (I think ).  Of course it is not just down to size I would say although the Cocker is larger than the Dandie they do mature sooner.  Although we may all have preferences as regards this I think it is perhaps best when advising others to be guided by the breed clubs, the largest concensus within a breed that you could possibly get.
