does anybody have any tips on stopping 10 week old puppy chewing everything,i would like to avoid using a crate if possible.many thanks

Try using distractions at first,more toys,the kind that you can fill with treats that fall out when the dog rolls it.If that doesnt work there is a kind of spray you can buy that tastes of sour apples.It doesnt hurt the dog in way but it tastes vile. :-)

He's going to chew everything he can get his hands on for the next few weeks so he needs  to be diverted away from the things you don't want chewed - the list is probably endless!! - by giving him acceptable substitutes. I've found that a teething pup enjoys a rolled up and frozen tea-towel which soothes the gums at the same time as providing something rewarding to gnash on.
