does anybody have any tips on stopping 10 week old puppy chewing everything,i would like to avoid using a crate if possible.many thanks

Try using distractions at first,more toys,the kind that you can fill with treats that fall out when the dog rolls it.If that doesnt work there is a kind of spray you can buy that tastes of sour apples.It doesnt hurt the dog in way but it tastes vile.

He's going to chew everything he can get his hands on for the next few weeks so he needs  to be diverted away from the things you don't want chewed - the list is probably endless!! - by giving him acceptable substitutes. I've found that a teething pup enjoys a rolled up and frozen tea-towel which soothes the gums at the same time as providing something rewarding to gnash on.
