I posted a question about my dogs nature changing since the arrival of a friend and her small child and had thought it was perhaps down to the child hurting her.I have now found out why she has changed.Our kitten has been suckling from her and our dog has never been bothered by this but today i noticed she has started producing milk so i think her behaviour change may be down to a phantom pregnancy and raging hormones.My question now is what do i do? I know i will have to separate the two friends because while they are together the kitten will continue to suckle and spaying will have to be considered too but does anyone have info on how long it will take to get her sweet nature back.Today my friend took her on a forest walk with her dogs,she is normally very friendly and well behaved but today she was so stressed and snapping at the other dogs,my friend had to take her home.She has also taken to ripping things up under my bed,almost like she is nesting.Any advice on this subject would be appreciated.Thanks
