My 16 week old puppy was asleep earlier, got up and suddenly started crying and howling as if in pain, we checked her over and couldnt find anything wrong, she stopped crying and went back to normal. We took her home, she wouldnt eat but she only eats when she wants to! Like we give her dry biscuits at 7:30, 12:30 and 9:30, she has scrambled egg at 5:30 and she sometimes leaves one or two of the meals throughout the day! She will always eat the egg though. Anyway that isnt what I'm asking about! So she's off her food and then she was sick! My mum thinks she is teething and thats causing her to cry and be sick, but I've never known a puppy to cry like she did earlier due to teething. Should we be concerned?

Hi there.......i'm afraid at such a young age i would be inclined to pop the babe along to the vets just for my own peace of mind, i have known a pup have an abcess under atooth which may be the cause of pain and not wanting to eat harder stuff....try tinned rice pudding too with an egg yolk mixed in, is she playing with toys and chewing other things?
please join the forum so we can find out how things go.Joining is free then you can ask as many questions as you like!
good luck though
but for me personally it would be a vet trip
regards
Pauline
