My dog Club has just closed for Christmas/New Year (Obedience club).  However it does not re-open until the end of January!!  Is that normal?

We have just finished Beginners and getting into the next session, but I and my dog will feel lost without our regular weekly reminders and training.

How long do other people's Clubs close for?

one club closes the week before xmas and opens up just after new year, another one closes next week and opens the 7th jan,
but my agility club does not close at all.

Our ringcraft closed last night ad re-opens on 4th Jan.  We think we deserve a break though xmas/new year :-)  and luckily all the people who come respect we want some time off as we are open all though rest of year and was eve open when the hall was closed and held it outside!!!!!

British attitude, LOL. :D In Sweden NO dog training clsases are held indoors, EVER. :-) We're outside regardless of weather, all year round. :-) The major dog traning clubs have their own grounds with lighting (and a club house to warm up in), but smaller ones can only have classes at weekends in the mornings during the winter as it will be too dark by 3 pm. I must admit I like doing it indoors, but I think a lot of the time its better to be outside -it's more real for the dogs.

My dog training club finishes next week, and we are back the second week in jan. Agility (2 different places) also finishes next week and one is back on the 6th of jan, the other, the end of jan. My ordinary training classes also take a month of in the summer, but everyones got to have a break! Its always strange not to have to go to training, but i use it as time to take longer walks, or set training goals that i wouldn't have enough time to work on. Mostly i find time flys by and i don't get as much done as i thought, but we survive.

My ringcraft and my pet training clubs usually have 2 or 3 weeks off.
