Don't ask me how it happend thats another story.
Any ideas how to get pale blue paint out of a light brown carpet have mopped most of it up used carpet cleaner but there is still some paint there don't own a vax.
Karen
By the way it is a matt paint and water based not oil
Keep dabbing at it with a wet clean cloth. Rinse out the cloth and soak the stain again. It'll take ages but it'll all come out in the end.

Metholated sprit will remove water base paint but make sure that it won't stain the carpet. There are products that will remove it too I think Stain Devil do one for paint. Small spots of gloss paint are best left to dry and then the tip of the pile can be snipped off and the surface brushed. Once you try to mop it up it will soak into the pile. Have a story about painted window sills, dogs, postmen and a new carpet but I'll not bore you with it now. JH
I have to tell you this story about paint on carpets:-
Many years ago (about 1970) we'd just married, and moved to a new area. The chap opposite was a decorator and said he could get us some paint. My husband went over to their house to collect the tin of white paint and sat down to talk to our 'new' neighbours. Now unfortunately my husband always has to fiddle with things, and sat on their settee fiddling with the paint tin as he chatted. Imagine his horror, when he dropped the tin, the lid flew off and the contents splattered out all over the dark green carpet. To this day I don't know how we managed to clean that carpet. They did talk to us afterwards, but I don't think we ever got invited into the lounge again!

LOL Lorna... Men & their fiddling. Probably the woman of the 'house', bi***ed out the idiotic husband for letting your man sit there with a paint can in the first place. :D :D I'd think that I would have too. The whole "What were you thinking?" deal.

he'd have licked himself and the carpet clean then Karen - he'd have thought it was custard :D (providing there were lumps in it like you usually make :O)

no lumps in mine the home maker makes it or else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well if both cans had fallen, some of the colors would have slightly mixed but also had stayed pure...
