Ok not sure what this means but will see if anyone has a explanation.

Max was on a steriod last week called Predoseline and while he was on it and for a few days after he had a very red/pink tongue. Now that hes been off it he has a whitish pink tongue - does anyone know if this a problem or am I just being a little paranoid ? Should I take him to the vet ?

Hi, I am no "Expert", but when one of my westies was on preds for a month, she lost the black pigment in her inner ears, which never returned, but didn't cause her any distress. I always make as much "phone use" of my vet as possible, rather than going in to pay them a fee for the same advice - so if you are worried - give them a ring.

were the prednisolone tablets red? as they can come in white or enteric coated which are red and shiny ? the red dye does come off which would be the likely reason for a red tongue ??

No the tablets were white - think I better ring the vet !
