Hi i have been given a black labrador dog ,and as a new dog owner i wondered if you could help answer the following questions.
1.At what age do labradors reach adfulthood(he's 9 months now)?
2.What would be his ideal diet?
3.How often should i bathe him?
4.When i come home he always licks my feet, should i stop him from doing this?
Yours Hopefully

hi Adrian,
I have had labs for many years now and when they reach adulthood is dependant on the dog I have a ten year old who thinks hes a puppy,he was trouble for a long time lovable though yet Isla my puppy is 7months and she is a sensible dog walks to heel everything you would want,I also run rescue and labs we get in differ in behaviour depending on how little attention they get,the hooligans are usually lovely when placed with families with lots of time for the dog,if you treat him like you would treat a child, remembering he is young teaching him a little every day and rewarding him for good behaviour ( I'm not a trainer there are very knowledgeable trainers on this board) Food I always feed complete good quality food with tripe but then again others may differ.Licking feet is a term of affection a way of showing you he is close to you
A labrador given Love, attention and lots of excersise is the most lovable loyal dog you could have (in my opinion),if you need any more advice email me and I'll be glad to help I wish you lots of happiness with your new friend
