I had to have my much loved staffy put to sleep on the 17th october 06
as she had become very poorly it was one the of hardest things i have ever had to do.
My heart feels like it is being ripped out and i feel so empty without her but i guess she is
at peace and free from pain now.
Phoebe was such a special dog well she was to me she was so loving and gentle she would sit on the sofa while
i watched tv she also had some funny little ways if i left my tea cup on the floor she would come along and
drink my tea or if i had a youghart she would want the empty pot to lick clean.
But most of all she was always by my side where ever i went she was with me.

Rest in peace baby girl mummy will never forget you and i will always love you
you are a top staffy one of the best...

I'm so sorry for your loss, you must be devastated.  I too lost my staffy last Christmas and there is not a day gone by that I don't think of him.  Pheobe sounded just like Fagin, he too loved to pinch my milkshakes if I left them within his reach and yoghurt, I had to keep turning the pot around for him until he got every last bit!

Staffys are such loving dogs and Fagin too used to follow me everywhere, couldn't even go to the loo on my own!

Losing Fagin is the hardest thing i have ever had to cope with in my life, he was my first dog, my baby, my whole world.  It will take time, but don't rush your grief, you will come to accept it in time and it will take time.  The time will come, when you can think of her and smile and not cry.  Just remember she was lucky to have somebody like you who loved her so very much, I'm sure she had a good and happy life and although you had to make that brave decision, you did it because you loved her so very much and she will be grateful you were able to free her from more pain.

If you ever need anyone to talk to who understands exactly what you are feeling right now, please don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail.

RIP Phoebe.

Hi julie thank you for your very kind reply i am so sorry to hear that you to lost your staffy last christmas
I had phoebe put to sleep at home as she never liked going to the vet so i thought it would be better for her
But i know what you mean it is the hardest thing any dog owner will ever have to do in their life but you do it like you say because you love them so much and you dont want them to be in pain any longer..
But i was totally beside myself i couldn't stop crying and i feel so empty without her she was so special to me she was my baby..
Fagin was just like phoebe by the sounds of things he would pinch your milkshake if you left them phoebe liked to pinch my cup of tea aswell and he was the same as phoebe with yoghurt pots i had to do the same as you turn them so phoebe could get every last bit out and phoebe used to follow me all around the house she would sit in the bathroom while i had a bath or even if i went to the loo phoebe would be there..
But i think its nice that a dog loves you that much it wants to be with you where ever you go even if it is to the loo!!
And i totally agree with you staffies are such loving dogs that they want to be with you all the time and they hate it when you go out and they dont go with you well phoebe did if i left her she would pull all the cushions of the sofa or she would jump all over my bed untill it was a totall mess it was like she was telling me of for leaveing her on her own..
I was very lucky to have been able to share my lifw with such a lovely dog as phoebe and i expect you feel the same about fagin because he sounds just as special as phoebe i used to spoil phoebe so much she had her own way most of the time and when she went to bed i would cover her up with her duvet so she wouldn't get cold as she hated being cold..
I think it is really nice of you to say i can email you if i ever need a chat because its nice to talk to someone who exacltly knows how i feel

Once again thanks for your very kind reply

francesca....
