Last Thursday our two year old beautiful Senegal parrot was diagnosed with Meningitis.  The vet gave him two lots of anti-inflammatories and antibiotics and for a while he looked like he was going to get better.

This morning he had a massive fit and we took him to the vets.  I held him in my hand whilst the vet put him to sleep.  There has nothing else they could do.  He tried very very hard to fight it but his little body was not strong enough.

He was such a lovely little thing with a huge personality.  Everyone loved him.  It is so quiet here without him now as he was such a noisy little thing, either immitating the phone, wolf whistling, blowing you kisses or just singing in the background.

Fly free my little boy.  I will miss you so so much

Very sorry to hear this :-(.  I have a budgie and I know just how entertaining pet birds can be and how much they are missed when they go.
