these 3 breeds are very very different in their characters, the average bloodhound is not for the average pet owner, are you undecided if you want a hound or a gundog? Just because they look a little similar, do not be fooled into thinking they must be alike, they most certainly are not!!!!!

Oh I know! I have met the bracco and Bloodhound in puppy and adult form, and the Grand Bleu as an adult too. I have talked to different owners and have done research on the net , phone and books.
Yes, it is hard to choose between them. I just like their characters, their looks and their abilitys. I definately do not think they are the same in any way. The Bloodhound and Grand Bleu are hounds and the Bracco is a Gundog (HPR). They do different things, need different things, and want different things. I have owned a Bloodhound before - I know someone with a Bracco, and have talked to and met owners of the Grand Bleu. I have posted this message just as bid of help to find the puppy of my dreams!

what breeding was your bloodhound? Just curious.

He actually had a bit of Black Lab in him too. He looked and acted like a black bloodhound! He was from the USA, I can't remember what breeding.
