thank you all for your kind words - today I planted a deep red rose  in the garden - it was called 'Remember Me.

A wonderful tribute, and the name of the rose just perfect. You will never need that rose to remember though - my dogs who have sadly gone are always in my heart, frequently in my mind and spoken of often. I am so sorry for your loss and pain.
