Hi my neice who is nine does junior handling and also handles my lab bitch for me in all of the open shows that we have entered and nobody has said anything against it. She has'nt handled at champ shows yet, I have'nt seen anything in the rules about age of handler but I might be wrong.

Hi Steph
I have 3 children age 12,13 and 16 who have been handling at all levels for the last 5 years. I have never shown our dogs but am merely the chauffeur. Adam was Kennel Club Junior of the Year and Show Handler of the year at Crufts last year. There is a website which he edits the Junior section and will help with any queries you have. If he cannot advise he will put you in touch with whoever can. His e mail is comments@gpointers.co.uk

Wow star you must be so proud of him. I will have to start my daughter Lauren off, hmmm do you think that 3 years is old enough or more to the point the new baby can have womb training. Can't wait until the kids can do the dogs training lol.

Oh and by the way if he ever fancies a challange tell him there is a lovely (but slightly head strong) Mal waiting for him.
