We have had a pheasant question, so now a quail one!
Does anyone know where to buy quail (live ones not oven ready!) in the Westcountry?

Your best bet is to get a copy of Cage and Avary Birds a weekly paper there is usually a whole section on waterfowl quail etc.

I know it well (I work for them quite often!) but always covers the whole of UK, whereas I was wanting something a bit more local.

Can't help then as I used to get mine via Cage and Avairy and the specialist breeders that were listed there.

I have occassionally seen them at the Parrot Society Shows but must admit you really don't see a lot of them about.

Are you a memeber of any of your local clubs or the Parrot society? Generally you can ring the club sec's to see if they are aware of anyone locally who breeds the birds your looking for.
